Titanic Roll – Miki Bistro
Ordered the Titanic Roll – shrimp tempura, cucumber, and crab meat topped with spicy crab meat, avocado, salmon, tuna, tobiko, onion, and unagi sauce, $12.95. I was excited to try it once it arrived, but it definitely looks a lot better than it tastes. This place gives you a ton of fake crab meat in all rolls that are based on Cali rolls, but the taste of the sushi…..well, I can’t even remember what it tastes like right after I’ve taken a bite. There’s a lot of stuff packed into each roll, and the rolls are gigantic, but I was baffled at how I couldn’t seem to discern the different ingredients involved in each bite. Also, the seaweed is on the chewy side.
Other than sushi, the iced tea tastes awful. Don’t order it. Seems like they melt a ton of ice into the drink. If you order from the lunch combo, you also receive miso soup and salad. The waitress wasn’t all that friendly. There are a few TVs scattered on the wall, but they’re kinda small considering the size of the place, and they each play a different channel.
TLDR: Rolls are large but taste is mediocre. 3 stars just because I’m being nice and willing to give this place another try.
