Chili’s

SUPER SLOW SERVICE.

Seriously, even when it’s not busy, it takes FOREVER to get your food – even appetizers. And they never refill your water.

That aside, the food is great. Ordered the $20 for 2 – allows choice of 1 appetizer plus 2 entrees.

+ Texas Cheese Fries (Half) – includes applewood smoked bacon, jalapenos and green onions, served with ranch. Jalapenos were mild, which is I prefer. Fries were thick and cheesy mmm

+ Crispy Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers: Tossed in honey-chipotle sauce, served with ranch dressing, corn on the cob, and homestyle fries. The chicken boneless and tender, and delicious, but SSSSSPICY!! The chicken is lathered in sauce, so it’s impossible to avoid the spiciness. I could taste the spiciness immediately upon placing a piece of chicken on my tongue, and with a lack of refills on water, I just couldn’t finish this. Corn was alright, fries were thick and starchy (in a good way!).

+ Cajun Chicken Pasta – Penne pasta with garlic Alfredo sauce and Cajun spices, topped with grilled chicken, Parmesan, tomatoes and green onions. Served with garlic toast. Loved the tender and juicy chicken, the very cream sauce, and the fact that this isn’t spicy despite being Cajun!

Also ordered dessert separately, and seemed to take YEARS for it to be served!

+ Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie – Oven-baked chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of hot fudge, $5.89. The cookie (aka Pizookie) is perfectly soft and gooey, and they give you a generous scoop of ice cream.
