Pasta is one of my favorite meals to eat and to make, and it’s convenient that you can put just about anything in it! Often, you can use whatever you have in your fridge, or whatever will soon go bad (these might even be the same items!). Granted, not everything goes well together, but here’s one of many combo ideas: combine sausage, mushroom, onions, carrots, and cauliflower. Throw in your favorite pasta and some red sauce (tomato sauce), and BAM! You just made lunch/dinner. Here’s what it looks like:
Pasta is a staple for college students, along with cereal and miscellaneous snacks. You have days where you wonder, “What should/can I make for lunch/dinner?” And the answer is, “Well, let’s see what I’ve got in my fridge. Hmm….I guess these can kinda go together.” Admit it, you’ve had days where you’ll throw the most random things together. But even if the combo is absolutely awful in thought, who knows! Maybe you’ll be surprised, and it’ll actually taste good! Seriously, I’ve seen some WILD meals on restaurant menus. And even if it doesn’t taste good, hey, you’re a starving student, you’ll learn to love it. And since it’s simple to make and you don’t have time to make an extraordinary meal every single day, you’ll learn to make enough pasta to feed an army; it’ll last you for DAYS. Besides, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to make a new type of pasta, unless you always buy the same items at the grocery.
On the contrary, pasta can be super fancy. It’s up to you and your available options.
