This place is located in Downtown Durham, right on the corner. They have giant glass windows to tempt you to wander inside for some of their sweet treats. My friend bought me 8 mini cupcakes, and they’re the perfect size to allow sampling of a variety of flavors! They’re also the worst size because they’re so easy to eat all at once….
Top row: Cookies and Cream, Mocha, Double Lemon, Vanilla/Chocolate
Bottom row: Black Russian, Creamsicle, Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla Candy Cane
My favorites out of this batch: Cookies and Cream and Mocha (except for the bean on top of the frosting). They look super cute, but the cake portion of these are dry and the frosting is dense. I’m not sure if it’s because I didn’t eat these right away. Maybe they’re actually soft and moist when they’re eaten as soon as the place opens. I highly advise heating them up a bit for better taste. The cupcakes aren’t incredibly sweet, as one might expect. However, the toppings that sit over the frosting are hard, so if you have sensitive teeth, be careful when you bite into them!
