If you’re craving Thai food, check out this place! They have great lunch specials from 11am to 2:30pm Monday-Friday. They also have lunch specials during the weekends, but it is more limited.
I had the classic Chicken Pad Thai for $7.99 – stir-fried rice noodles with a tamarind sauce, egg, scallions, bean sprouts, ground peanuts on the side, and served with an Egg Roll and Hot and Sour Soup. The Egg Roll is on the thin side, but I like that it was flaky and didn’t leave an oily residue on my fingers. The soup tasted good, except that it had far too much green onion considering that it comes in such a small bowl. I had a spoonful of green onions with every bite, which is too overwhelming. I enjoyed the Pad Thai a lot. Great portion size. The noodles are incredibly more yellow in color than I am familiar with, but they have a delicious sweet tangy flavor to them. I was glad that the bean sprouts were well mixed into the noodles and didn’t taste raw. Service was great too. One of the waiters deliberately went to every single table to check in on customers.
I would like this place even more if they expanded their lunch specials to include other Thai favorites like Pad See Ew and Panang Curry.
