Don’t come here if you’re starving.

Waited FORTY MINUTES to be seated for a party of TWO while SEVERAL tables remained empty during the entire wait period. We told them that we were okay with ANY table, but it still made no difference. Tables were left uncleaned. The number of waiting customers was increasing, but none were being seated. It was like a car accident had occurred and was holding up traffic, except there was no actual accident, just unnecessary traffic with no explanation. When up to 8 tables were visibly empty during the entirety of the waiting period, staff did not provide a reason for the long wait when confronted by another customer. Nobody was managing the situation. What an outrage!

Eventually, we were seated. Both of us ordered the Mix & Match Fajitas. I had the Grilled Chicken and Carnitas for $12.99. Boyfriend had the Steak, Shrimp, and Chicken for $15.99 with citrus-chile rice and black beans (Cadillac Style for additional $1) and white queso and pico de gallo (Loaded for additional $1). The Fajitas come with chipotle garlic butter, cilantro, bell peppers, caramelized onions, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, salsa, and 3 flour tortillas. The shrimp were plump and juicy. The steak was chewy. The chicken and carnitas were just okay. I had far too many onions. In fact, I had more onions than all the meats combined. The ratio was completely off.  I had a mouthful of onions with every bite, and even though I enjoy onions, that was simply too much!

That long wait for a mediocre meal was definitely not worth it. Also want to point out that the two tables on either side of mine were both empty before and after my entire meal, as well as three tables down the room from me. And yes, customers were still waiting to be seated. The server was great at checking on us frequently during our meal. She even tried to explain that each server is responsible for certain sections of the restaurant and that available seating depends on how much each server can manage. But that still does not explain why each section of the restaurant has at least 5 empty tables. At the very least, if a table is empty, seat the customers. It’s better to sit and wait at the table, than to wonder why half the restaurant’s tables are empty, but you’re still stuck having to wait. Show some consideration and keep the customers informed.
